Thermal Engineering Support in Silicon Valley
Fujipoly’s Customer Engineering Resource Center (CERC) in San Jose, California provides local applications-engineering support for engineers developing advanced thermal-management solutions.
Fujipoly’s San Jose Engineering Lab
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Fujipoly Customer Engineering Resource Center gives OEM engineers access to Fujipoly applications-engineering expertise close to many of the world’s leading electronics companies.
The CERC supports customers working with Fujipoly thermal-management technologies, including SARCON® thermal interface materials.
Rather than selecting a thermal interface material based only on thermal conductivity, engineers can work with Fujipoly’s applications team to evaluate the complete thermal interface — including gap size, compression, material thickness, mechanical tolerances, assembly requirements and application conditions.

Application Engineering Support
Choosing the right thermal interface material involves much more than selecting the material with the highest W/m·K rating. The mechanical characteristics of the interface can be just as important as thermal conductivity.
Material Selection
Evaluate SARCON® materials based on thermal conductivity, thickness, hardness, compression characteristics and the mechanical requirements of the application.
Thermal Interface Evaluation
Examine the complete component-to-heatsink or component-to-chassis interface to determine the most appropriate thermal material technology.
Compression & Mechanical Considerations
Determine how a thermal pad or putty material will conform to component-height variation while minimizing mechanical loading on sensitive components and circuit boards.
Material Comparison
Compare different Fujipoly technologies, including conventional gap pads, ultra-soft putty materials, dispensable compounds and high-performance thermal interface materials.
Application Development
Work with Fujipoly applications engineers when developing thermal solutions for new products or improving an existing thermal design.
Design & Manufacturing Support
Consider material handling, compression, installation, manufacturability and other practical issues when transitioning a thermal solution from engineering into production.
Why the CERC Matters to Silicon Valley Engineers
Thermal interface materials can behave very differently once they are installed in an actual assembly. Gap size, compression pressure, surface flatness, component tolerances and material thickness can all influence real-world thermal performance.
Fujipoly’s San Jose CERC provides a local engineering resource where customers can engage directly with applications engineers who specialize in thermal interface solutions.
This engineering-focused approach can help OEMs identify the appropriate material earlier in the design cycle and address thermal and mechanical issues before moving into production.
SARCON® PG150A
15 W/m·K Ultra-Soft Thermal Putty
PG150A is an example of the advanced thermal materials supported by Fujipoly’s applications-engineering team. It combines very high thermal conductivity with an extremely compressible putty construction for applications requiring high thermal performance and low mechanical stress.
Fujipoly’s CERC applications engineers have also presented performance benchmarks, application examples and engineering demonstrations involving PG150A.
